While most might think tennis is not a year-round sport, don't tell Capital University coach Shaun Stamps.

This coming spring Stamps will enter his third season as Capital men's tennis coach and fourth as the women's coach, but that is only part of his work on the courts.

Stamps has also taken over as the head coach of girls high school tennis power Upper Arlington High School.  He takes over a program that has won 123 consecutive regular season matches and is 71-0 over the past tree seasons with three Ohio state team titles.

When not coaching, Stamps is also a teaching tennis professional who has worked at The Racquet Club, Wickertree Tennis Club and is currently at Scioto Country Club.

Stamps was a standout tennis player at Mifflin High School in Columbus where he won a pair of City League titles in doubles and advanced to a regional in 1988.
