Veteran Crusaders Back to Contend in 2002
Bringing back eight letterwinners, including a pair of conference champions, off the best season in school history, one could easily see why the Capital University women's tennis team looks to contend for the Ohio Athletic Conference title in 2002.

No. 3 singles champion and All-OAC senior Holly Lorensen (Oak Harbor/Oak Harbor) and All-OAC, No. 3 doubles champion sophomore Greta Thorkelson (Akron/Copley) along with fellow all-conference performer  sophomore Nici Workman (Chillicothe/Unioto) all return to a team that finished a school-best ever second place at last year's OAC Championships.

Senior Elizabeth Visintine (Worthington/Bishop Watterson) and junior  Kathleen Thomas (Columbus/Westland) also provide depth and strengthen an already strong lineup for 18th year head coach Leonie Turack.

Capital will begin the 2002 spring season in Hilton Head, S.C. playing three matches, before opening the home portion of the schedule on Mar. 23, against Tiffin University at 11 a.m.
