Capital Wrestler Jeremy Kosch Goes 1-2 at NCAA Championships
Capital University sophomore Jeremy Kosch won one match and lost two at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Waverly, Iowa.

Kosch lost No. 3 seed Ed Aliaksegenka of Montclair State (N.J.) in the opening round, 7-1.  He rallied for a win in the consolation bracket, 2-1, over Aaron Gottesman of Springfield (Mass.) before being eliminated by Sonny Alvarez of Wartburg (Iowa), 4-3.

Kosch finishes the season with an 18-10 overall record.

Capital University won its first dual meet of the 2000-01 season, with a 28-20 win over Waynesburg (Pa.) College in Columbus on Thursday night.

Wrestlers Finish 10th at Ohio Northern Invitational
Capital University's wrestling team finished 10th out of 24 teams at the Ohio Northern Invitational on Saturday.

Top individual finishers for the Crusaders were Jeremy Kosch (Oakwood/Paulding) who finished in 3rd place at 184 and Josh Thompson (Bethel/Tate) who finished in 6th place at 141. Wes Gottke (Grove City/Franklin Heights) finished in 6th place at 125 and his twin brother Justin finished in 7th place at 141.

Capital will return to mats on Thursday, December 21st when they host Waynesburg (PA) at 7:30 p.m. at Loy Gym.

Capital University fell to West Liberty State College, 36-9, in a dual meet wrestling match on Thursday night in Columbus.

Josh Thompson (Bethel/Tate) at 141 and Jeremy Kosch (Oakwood/Paulding) at 184 were the only Crusaders to score victories in a 31-7 loss to Muskingum in the OAC dual meet opener for both teams.
