Capital University senior guard Sara Heitkamp (Ft.
Recovery/Ft. Recovery) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's
Basketball Player of the Week for the second straight week and the third
time this season.
Heitkamp was 11-of-15 (.733) from the field in a pair of Crusader wins
last week. Heitkamp tallied a team-high 17 points and six rebounds in a
win against Heidelberg and 13 points and five boards in the win against
cross-town rival Otterbein leading Capital to 14-1 record and its sixth
win in a row.

Heitkamp Named OAC Player of the Week
Capital University senior guard Sara Heitkamp (Ft.
Recovery/Ft. Recovery) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's
Basketball Player of the Week. It marks the second time this season
and seventh time in her career Heitkamp has won the award.
Heitkamp averaged 17.7 points per game, including 33 points in a win against
John Carroll, leading the No. 11 Capital to three wins last week. She
also registered 12 steals and 11 assists last week to become the second
player in school history with over 300 steals and 300 assists.

University senior guard Sara Heitkamp (Fort Recovery) was
named Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
Heitkamp was the MVP of the Betty Abgott Invitational after averaging 16.5
points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 5.0 steals in two Crusader wins last
weekend. Heitkamp shot .545 (12-of-22) from the field.
