For
a third time this season, Capital University junior Sara Heitkamp (Ft.
Recovery/Ft. Recovery) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's
Basketball Player of the Week.
Heitkamp shot .667 from the field
(16-of-24), tallied a game-high 21 points against John Carroll then scored 20
of her game-high 23 markers in the first half against Mount Union. On the
week, Heitkamp averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals
per game, while her 44 points moved her into ninth on the school's all-time
scoring list.

Named OAC Player of the Week
Capital University junior guard Sara Heitkamp (Ft.
Recovery/Ft. Recovery) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Women's
Basketball Player of the Week.
Heitkamp tallied 44 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 steals in a pair of
Capital wins last week. She had a season-high 31 points in an 88-68 win
against Mount Vernon Nazarene then had 13 points, 13 rebounds, seven steals
and seven assists in an OAC win over Muskingum.
Heitkamp, an education major, tops the OAC in scoring averaging 19.6 points
per game. She leads Capital in scoring, rebounding (8.2 rpg), assists
(4.0 apg) and steals (5.1 spg).
