(WILMINGTON, Ohio)--Capital University's softball team matched a season-best five-game win streak with a two-game Ohio Athletic Conference sweep Wednesday at Wilmington College.

The Crusaders jumped out to a 5-0 lead after three innings and never looked back in a 10-0 win in game one.  Junior pitcher Jen Heidenreich (Xenia/Xenia) pitched a complete game, two hitter for her third shutout and moved to 10-12 for the season.

Sophomore Lindsay Shepherd (Phillipsburg/Northmont) went 2-for-3 at the plate, driving in a run and scoring three times to lead Capital at the plate.

Wilmington took a 2-0 lead after two innings in game two before Capital scored 12 unanswered runs over the next four innings for a 12-2 win.

Sophomore pitcher Erin Willeke (Newark/Licking Valley) went the distance allowing only four hits as she moved to 10-5 on the season.

Senior Mandy Sladoje (Lancaster/Lancaster) had a pair of hits and drove in four runs, three of them on a six-inning home run as Capital had its second-most hits in a game this season with 14.

Capital finishes the 2006 season with a pair of OAC games Saturday at Marietta College.
