(NEW CONCORD, Ohio)—
Capital University's men's soccer team won their ninth game of the year Sunday, defeating Muskingum College 4-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference game in New Concord, Ohio.

Capital is now 9-3-1 on year, 2-1 in the OAC. Muskingum is now 6-6-1, 1-2 in the OAC.

It was a close contest throughout the first half with Capital holding a 2-1 advantage at the outset of the half on goals by sophomore midfielder Heath Oberle (Westerville/Westerville South) and Snyder.

However, just a minute into the second stanza, sophomore midfielder Paul Sparke (Cincinnati/Archbishop Moeller) knocked in a penalty kick and Capital ran away with the momentum as they got on the board again seven minutes later at the 53 minute mark on an Albeit goal assisted by Snyder.

Freshman goalkeeper John Snyder (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) made six saves in the game, giving him 54 stops on the year, as opposed to only 16 goals against.
