Capital Bounces Back With Win over Ohio Northern

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—
After its first lost in eight games Saturday, the Capital University men's soccer team bounced back with a 4-1 Ohio Athletic Conference win Tuesday against Ohio Northern University in Columbus.

Freshman Tyler Mowbray (Centerville/Archbishop Alter) scored a pair of goals and senior Dan Albeit (Bexley/Bexley) had a goal and two assists as Capital (8-3-1, 1-1 OAC) matched a season high with four goals and scored its first win against Ohio Northern (7-5, 1-1 OAC) since 1992.

Capital got its first goal off the leg of senior Drew Yost (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial) in the 29th minute with help from Joey Snyder (Columbus/Thomas Worthington). Less than a minute later, Mowbray drilled his first goal to give the hosts a 2-0 lead.

Ohio Northern got on the board in the 43rd minute on a goal by Marc Pupillo as the Polar Bears trailed 2-1 at the break.

Capital sealed the game with Mowbray's second goal in the 67th minute and then Albiet tacked on another score in the 71st minute for the 4-1 final.

Capital, now 8-1-1 over its last 10 matches next play Sunday at 2 p.m. at Muskingum College in New Concord.
