Capital Drops First OAC Game of Season

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—
Capital University's men's soccer team lost their first contest in eight games Saturday against Ohio Athletic Conference opponent John Carroll University, 2-1 in Columbus, Ohio. 

Both teams held their own in the first half, going into halftime scoreless. John Carroll's Dejan Mladenovic struck first for his team with a goal early in the second half. 

Crusader Paul Sparke (Cincinnati/Archbishop Moeller) tied the game in the 64th minute with a shot straight into the back of the net. The game-ending shot came from John Carroll's Milko Cecez two minute later for the Blue Streak win, improving to 3-5-1 overall and 1-0 in the OAC. 

The Crusaders drop to 7-3-1 overall and 0-1 in the OAC. They'll try to bounce back Tuesday with a 4 p.m. game against the Ohio Northern Polar Bears.
