Streak Runs To Five as Capital Defeats Anderson

(ANDERSON, Ind.)—Capital
University's men's soccer team won their fifth game in a row Friday night,
slipping past Anderson (Ind.) University 3-2.
Capital took an early lead with two goals in the first period, one coming from
freshman forward Joey Snyder (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) in the 17th
minute and the other from junior midfielder Zach Porter (Fairborn/Fairborn)
in the 38th minute.
Anderson got in the scoring column on a tally from Ryan White at the 54:27
mark, but it was quickly followed by another goal from Capital, an unassisted
game-winner from sophomore midfielder Heath Oberle (Westerville/Westerville
South).
James Kempson of Anderson scored in the 82nd minute, but it was not enough as
time would run out and the Crusaders would prevail for their fifth victory of
the season.
Next up for Capital is a home match on Sunday, when Case Western Reserve
visits Bernlohr Stadium at 3 p.m.
