Capital Gets Oberlin For First Win of the Season

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Capital
University's men's soccer team notched its first win of the season Wednesday
in the home opener against Oberlin College, 2-1.
The Crusaders scored in the first two minutes
when Drew Yost (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial) took advantage of a open
shot. Five minutes later, Heath Oberle (Westerville/Westerville South)
headed the second Crusader goal with the help of Dan Albeit (Bexley/Bexley).
Freshman goalkeeper John Snyder (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) had three
saves in the win.
Oberlin (0-2-1) scored its only goal in the 27th
minute off a David Wilson penalty kick.
The Crusaders improve to 1-2 and return to action
Saturday at the Oakland City Invitational. Capital will face Berea (Ky.) College
at 6 p.m.
