Capital Gets Oberlin For First Win of the Season

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—
Capital University's men's soccer team notched its first win of the season Wednesday in the home opener against Oberlin College, 2-1.

The Crusaders scored in the first two minutes when Drew Yost (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial) took advantage of a open shot. Five minutes later, Heath Oberle (Westerville/Westerville South) headed the second Crusader goal with the help of Dan Albeit (Bexley/Bexley). Freshman goalkeeper John Snyder (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) had three saves in the win.

Oberlin (0-2-1) scored its only goal in the 27th minute off a David Wilson penalty kick.

The Crusaders improve to 1-2 and return to action Saturday at the Oakland City Invitational. Capital will face Berea (Ky.) College at 6 p.m.
