Crusaders Fall on the Road to Otterbein
Otterbein 64 , Capital 59 [Box Score]

(WESTERVILLE, Ohio) - Capital University's men's basketball team went on the road and dropped a 64-59 decision to Otterbein College on Saturday evening in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup at the Rike Center in Westerville, Ohio.

With the loss, Capital falls to 7-11 on the season and 4-8 in the OAC, while the Cardinals improve to 9-10, 5-8 in the conference.

With the game knotted at 33 at halftime, the Crusaders came out hot in the second period, going on a 13-3 run to take a 46-37 lead at the 12:56 mark, fueled by back-to-back buckets from freshman forward Quintin Mitchell (Toledo/Libbey).

Otterbein slowly crawled back into the game and eventually took the lead back from Capital with 7:13 to play. It was a lead they would not give up the rest of the contest as a Ryan Wood (Pickerington/Pickerington Central) three-pointer rattled out in the Crusaders last chance to tie the game.

Capital's lone scorer in double-figures was Wood with 13, while sophomore forward Jake Meisler (Castalia/Margaretta) totaled nine points, grabbed six boards and dished out three assists.

The Crusaders come back home to host Wilmington College on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
