[Box Score]
(ALLIANCE, Ohio) - After a disappointing loss to Mount Union in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament last season, Capital University's men's basketball team sought revenge and came through with a 68-67 victory over the Purple Raiders Saturday in their first OAC road game in Alliance, Ohio.

With the win, Capital has now won two games in row and improves to 4-4 on the season, 2-1 in the OAC. Mount Union drops its sixth contest of the year to fall to 2-6, 1-2 in the OAC.

The Purple Raiders were hot early, jumping out to a 9-0 lead in the first four minutes of the half, but the Crusaders climbed back and a three-pointer by freshman guard Nate Stahl (St. Henry/St. Henry) at the 4:44 mark cut the Mount Union lead to one at 24-23.

It was evenly played contest for the rest of the half with the Purple Raiders going into the locker room with a 31-29 advantage.

The second half saw the lead change four times, however it wasn't until two Steve Kyser (Sylvania/Sylvania Southview) free-throws gave Capital a 68-67 lead with 25 seconds to play that would stand until the end of the game.

Mount Union was held scoreless for the final minute and thirty seconds of the contest as the Kyser free-throws won the game for Capital.

Kyser, who led the Crusaders with 19 points on the evening, was a perfect eight for eight from the charity stripe for the game, pacing Capital to a 17-23 (74%) mark as a team from the line.

Sophomore forward Jake Meisler (Castalia/Margaretta) also scored in double-figures with 15 points and had a team-high seven rebounds. Junior point guard Dave Johnson (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon) continued to distribute the ball with success, as he dished out four more assists to go along with six points.

The Crusaders take a week off for finals and return to the court next Saturday as they go on the road again to Berea, Ohio to play No. 21 ranked Baldwin-Wallace.
