Capital Baseball to Play 40-Game Schedule in
2002
Capital University announced a 40-game baseball schedule
for 2002 that includes 18 home games and nine games in Fort Myers, Florida.
The Crusaders, who return 20 letterwinners from a season ago, begin the season
with its traditional nine-game swing in south Florida, from Feb. 24 through
March 2. Capital returns North and opens the home portion of the
schedule on Mar. 24 with a nine-inning single game against Adrian (Mich.)
College.
Three night games are on the slate as the Crusaders play a single nine-inning
game against The College of Mount St. Joseph on April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at
Midland Field in Ameila, Ohio. Capital plays its Ohio Athletic
Conference twinbill with defending champion Marietta College at Pioneer Park
in Marietta on April 30 at 5:05 p.m.
The regular season finishes on May 4 at John Carroll University. The
four-team OAC Tournament is the following week (May 9-12).
